Mr. V. M. Muralidharan, who is also the great grand nephew of its founder, the renowned barrister Mr. V.L. Ethiraj, has been elected chairman of the Trust Board of Ethiraj College for Women. He succeeds Dr. A.M. Swaminathan, IAS (retd.) who served as its Chairman, till August 2013.

Mr. Muralidharan is the first member of the Founders family to head the Trust Board after Mr. V.L. Ethiraj, who was its first Chairman. Prior to this, Muralidharan was the Financial Trustee on the Ethiraj Board. He is currently the Global Chief Operating Officer of the Rs. 700 Crore, IT conglomerate, the Bahwan Cybertek group.
