The
Government of India has introduced a proposal for a completely revised Income
Tax Law, named the New Income Tax Act 2025. This new law is scheduled to come
into effect from April
1, 2026.
As part of
the implementation process, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has released the
draft version of the Income Tax Act along with new draft forms. The government
has invited feedback and suggestions from the general public regarding these
proposals.
