Rural Development
􀂉􀂉 Allocation of Rs. 80,194 crore in 2013-14 for Ministry of Rural Development
marking an increase of 46% over RE 2012-13.
􀂉􀂉 Proposal to carve out PMGSY-II and allocate a portion of the funds to the new
programme that will benefit States such as Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka,
Maharashtra, Punjab and Rajasthan.
JNNURM
􀂉􀂉 Rs. 14,873 crore for JNNURM in BE 13-14 as against RE of Rs. 7,383 crore. Out of this, a significant portion will be used to support the purchase of upto 10,000
buses, especially by the hill States.
