For
investors who want to invest in the stock market for the long term and create
wealth, multi-cap mutual funds are an important investment opportunity. Such funds
provide investors with the opportunity to invest in the stocks of large
companies, mid-sized companies and small companies through a single scheme.
In this
context, The Wealth Company Mutual Fund has introduced a new scheme called The Wealth Company Multi
Cap Fund.
This is an open-ended equity mutual fund scheme. The primary objective of the
scheme is to generate long-term capital appreciation for investors.
Investment in Three Categories of Companies
The key
feature of a multi-cap fund is that it invests in companies of different sizes.
Large companies may generally have greater business stability. Mid-sized
companies may have growth opportunities. Small companies may have higher future
growth potential, although their share prices may also experience greater
volatility.
By investing
in all three categories of companies, investors get an opportunity to diversify
their investments across different segments of the market instead of investing
only in a particular market segment.
As per the
regulations applicable to multi-cap funds, at least 25 per cent each must be
invested in large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap companies. This ensures that there
is a minimum investment of 25% in each of the three categories.
New Fund Offer Period
Investors
can invest in this new fund until September 10, 2026. The minimum
investment amount is ₹1,000.
Since this
is an open-ended scheme, investors can continue to invest in the scheme even
after the New Fund Offer period ends, once the scheme commences regular
operations, subject to the applicable rules and regulations. Similarly,
investors can redeem their units and withdraw their money.
Exit Load
There is an
exit load if the investment is withdrawn within a short period. If units are
redeemed or switched to another scheme within 180 days from the date
of allotment,
an exit load of 1
per cent
will be charged.
If the
investment is redeemed or switched to another scheme after 180 days, there will
be no
exit load.
Therefore,
this scheme may be more suitable for investors who can remain invested for the
long term rather than those who may need their money in the short term.

Who May Find It Suitable?
The scheme
may be an opportunity for investors who want to invest in large, mid-sized and
small companies through a single scheme and have a long-term investment
objective.
In
particular, investors who can remain invested for at least five years or more,
and those who have the ability to continue investing even when the value of
their investment declines during a market downturn, may consider this scheme.
The Wealth
Company Multi Cap Fund is a new opportunity for long-term investors who want to
invest in the stocks of large, mid-sized and small companies through a single
scheme.
