Chennai, 2nd July 2026: Axis
Bank, one of the largest private sector banks in India, today announced the
strategic relocation and relaunch of its historic Anna Salai branch in Chennai.
Redesigned as a state-of-the-art ‘Branch of the Future’ (BOTF), the new
premises is aimed at delivering an
enhanced banking experience across retail, corporate, and wealth segments.
The new ‘Branch of the
Future’ was inaugurated by Mr. Amitabh Chaudhry, MD & CEO, Axis Bank,
along with other senior bank executives. Established in 2003, the Anna Salai
branch has served customers in Chennai for over two decades. The relocation
marks the next phase of the branch’s evolution, reinforcing Axis Bank’s
commitment to enhanced customer experience, while strengthening its presence in
Chennai.

sq. ft. branch offering an enhanced, more comfortable, and premium customer
experience.

dedicated, exclusive space with state-of-the-art meeting rooms designed for personalised
wealth management advisory services.

Facilities: Modern physical and digital capabilities,
including newly installed ATMs and upgraded
customer interaction areas.
· Collaborative
Workspace: Co-location of the Commercial Banking Group (CBG) team within the
branch, enabling closer integration
with retail and wealth banking services and fostering greater collaboration.
· Expanded
Services: Strengthened retail banking
capabilities, including a dedicated gold loan facility and an upgraded locker
room with higher capacity.
