IFLMEA Leather Goods Fashion Show in Chennai…!
With the objective of showcasing India’s premium leather goods industry on the global stage, the Leather Fashion Show and Brand Conclave 2026 is set to take place in Chennai. The event is being organized by the Indian Finished Leather Manufacturers & Exporters Association (IFLMEA). The key sponsors of the event include Kothari Industrial Corporation Limited (KICL), Saba Group, and Microbag.

KICL Chairman Dr. Rafique Ahmed stated that the leather fashion show will be held on February 1, 2026, at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. More than 14 leading leather manufacturers from across India will participate in the event. Premium footwear, leather garments, handbags, and leather accessories will be showcased, with over 70 models taking part in the fashion show.
The official announcement of the. event was made at a press meet held on January 30, 2026, at Taj Connemara, Chennai. The event was attended by Dr. Rafique Ahmed, Chairman of KICL; Dr. N. Muthu Mohan, CEO and Director of KICL; and Atheekur Rahman, President of IFLMEA, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, IFLMEA President Atheekur Rahman said,
“This fashion show will serve as a significant platform to present the quality and innovative designs of Indian leather products to the global market. It will also help in creating new international business connections.”
Strong consumer response..
He further noted that demand for leather products in India continues to rise. In particular, winter-appropriate leather garments and comfortable leather footwear are receiving strong acceptance from consumers.
The fashion show is being directed by Bhaskaran Chandrasekar, with choreography by Jude Felix. Following the fashion show, a Brand Conclave will be held on February 2, 2026. Leather manufacturers and retail traders will participate in discussions focused on market opportunities and strategic collaborations.
IFLMEA also highlighted that after facing several challenges in recent times, the leather goods industry is once again on a growth trajectory. Combined domestic and export trade is expected to record approximately 15% year-on-year growth.
