Mutual Fund Average SIP Investment increased 33% to Rs. 3,000..!

The average
Indian mutual fund SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) folio in the industry stood
at Rs. 2,966 in June 2025.
Increased by over 33%..!
The average mutual
fund SIP at ticket size or the average AUM per SIP folio has increased to Rs.
2,966 as of June 2025, surpassing its previous peak of Rs. 2,861 recorded in
December 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This figure had
declined to Rs. 2,216 in December 2022 but has since increased by over 33%.
Individual
investors hold 87%..!
Individual
investors hold 87% of their total mutual fund assets in equity-oriented
schemes. Their remaining allocation is 8% in debt, 2% in liquid and money
market schemes and 3% in ETFs/FoFs.
In contrast,
institutional investors hold 28% of their assets in liquid & money market
schemes, 28% in ETFs and FoFs, 25% in debt-oriented schemes and 19% in
equity-oriented schemes.
In terms of AUM,
sectoral and thematic funds topped the with Rs. 5.10 lakh crore followed by
flexi cap funds at Rs. 4.94 lakh crore and mid cap funds at Rs. 4.32 lakh crore
as of June 2025.
Passive
AUM growth...!
Passive AUM has
grown by 21% over the past year from Rs. 10.22 lakh crore to Rs. 12.33 lakh crore
in June 2025. Additionally, passive folios have increased 17-fold over the past
five years.
