Aadhaar card linking with PAN
In the recent Finance bill amended
in Lok Sabha, Aadhaar card number has to be linked to PAN number and if
not done, the PAN becomes invalid.
Hence, please link
it as early as possible. Otherwise, you will have problem while
sanction of home or other loans.

Aadhaar is mandatory for
PAN and income tax return and later on Aadhaar might become the sole
identity card in the future, finance minister Mr. Arun Jaitley said in
Parliament on Wednesday, a move that could possibly replace PAN, voter and
ration cards.
In case of failure to intimate the Aadhaar number, the permanent account number allotted to the person shall be deemed to be invalid and the other provisions of this Act shall apply, as if the person had not applied for allotment of permanent account number.”
