Graduation Day at Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology

Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, part of the Rajalakshmi Group of Institutions, Chembarambakkam hosted its 4^th Graduation Day Ceremony on 21^stMarch. Internationally acclaimed Scientist and Founder of BRAHMOS Aerospace, Dr. A. Sivathanu Pillai was the Chief Guest. Dr. N. Ravichandan, Executive Director, Lucas TVS, was the Guest of Honor. 273 students qualified to become engineering graduates at this colorful event.

Dr. Sivathanu Pillai delivered the Convocation Address and handed over degree certificates to the graduates. 5 University Rank Holders were given special cash prizes. Dr. N. Ravichandran emphasized the need for discipline, determination and dedication to succeed in any activity more so in education. He stressed that India is on the verge of a Global make over and there is no country where a qualified and skilled Indian is not welcome.

Prior to the Graduation day, College day was held at the college premises on Friday (20.03.2015). Mr. Ramkumar Chandrasekaran, Head – Human Resources, Chennai region, Tata Consultancy Services and Mr. Shashikanth Jayaraman, Head, Human Resources, TVS Automobiles Solutions were the Guests of Honor. Dr. V. Prithiviraj, Principal, RIT presented the Annual Report.

Various accolades and awards were given to the outstanding students by the Guests of Honor. The Giri Award was given to M. Karunya, IV year ECE, the Raghavan Memorial award to J.S.Swaathy Shree, II year EEE, the Lady Parvatham trust award to B Ashwin, II year Mechanical, while the Ramakrishna Memorial award was shared by Kirubba lakshmi of CSE, S.P, M.Bhuvaneswari, Brindha.P, Jagadeeswari.S, Ram Prabhu.D and S.Rudresh of ECE.
