Affordable Houses for Masses.!

Mr. Navin Raheja, President, Naredco

Central govt. has taken many steps to resolve problems including Jawahar Lal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) & Rajiv Awas Yojna (RAY). The Govt. is encouraging Private builders to make affordable houses for the masses, and the developers should take advantage of various incentives offered by the Govt. to help in meet the acute demand of houses for LIG (Low Income Group) & EWS  (Eeconomically Weaker sections) in India. Housing in the real estate sector is the key of prosperity of  India and should be given all kinds of support.

Mr. Navin Raheja, President, National Real Estate Development Council (Naredco) said, ''Central Govt. has not done much and because of this there are slums &unauthorised colonies in every city. About  50 types of clearance are required to clear a project & takes up to 4 years to get everything done, increasing the cost of housing.Delay by the environment ministries all over India. Projects must be cleared online as this process will be easier and transparent."
