India's major cement companies like ACC, Ambuja Cement and UltraTech have reported increase in production by 7-11% for December, 2011.
Production at Aditya Birla Group's UltraTech Cement grew 10.8%o 37.7 lakh tonne, ACC reported a growth of 6.28% to 20.3 lakh tonne, for Ambuja it was 19.1 lakh tonne, up 6.81% in December.
UltraTech's dispatches for the month grew to 36.2 lakh tonne, up 10.5%, for ACC & Ambuja it was 8.85% & 5.75%, respectively to 20.9 lakh tonne and 18.2 lakh tonne.
In the calendar year 2011, production of ACC grew to 23.66 million tonne from 21.21 million tonne, while Ambuja's grew to 20.96 million tonne from 20.12 million tonne during the same period. Cement dispatches of ACC & Ambuja for the period grew to 20.95 million tonne &23.68 million tonne from 20.12 million tonne and 21.17 million tonne, respectively.
