Sundaram Home Finance opens new EB branch in Mannargudi, plans to open two more, in Karaikkal and Thiruthuraipoondi

 

Chennai, September 25, 2026: Sundaram Home Finance opened a new Emerging Business (EB) branch today in Mannargudi. The branch was inaugurated by Managing Director D. Lakshminarayanan. The Emerging Business segment comprises of working capital loans of up to Rs. 20 lakhs and affordable housing finance of up to Rs. 40lakhs.

 

Targets to nearly double Central TN EB disbursements

Sundaram Home Finance currently has close to 25 EB branches in Central TN in small towns such as Kumbakonam, Manapparai, Aranthangi, Pudukottai and Pattukottai, in addition to presence in larger towns like Trichy and Thanjavur.  The company is targeting to almost double its disbursements this year in this segment to nearly Rs. 200crores in Central TN. The company is also looking to open EB branches in Karaikkal and Thiruthuraipoondi in the near future.

 

Last week, the company opened an EB branch in Valliyoor, near Tirunelveli. Sundaram Home Finance has over 70 branches in the Emerging Business segment in TN.

 

Commenting on the expansion plans, D. Lakshminarayanan, MD, Sundaram Home Finance said, “Small towns are driving our growth in the Emerging Business segment. Our current expansion into Mannargudi and Valliyoor and the plans to open in Karaikkal and Thiruthuraipoondi is in line with our strategy of penetrating deep into small towns and establishing a strong presence in Tier 3 and 4 towns in the EB segment in Tamil Nadu.”

 

Expansion in Andhra

Outside of Tamil Nadu, the company also expanded its presence this month in the EB segment in Andhra foraying into three small towns - Adoni, Yemminganur and Amalapuram.

 

Sundaram Home Finance registered Net Profit of Rs. 85 crores on disbursements of Rs. 1665 crores in the first quarter of this year. Assets under Management grew 11% in Q1 and stood at Rs. 20325 crores as on 30^th June 2026.
