return did I get?” and usually measure it using the Nifty 50 Index. However, a
more accurate measure of real returns is the Nifty 50 TRI, which includes
dividends in the calculation.
Let us understand the difference between these two and

1. What is Nifty 50?
The Nifty 50 Index represents the performance of the top
50 large companies in India.
It reflects only price movements:
