Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mehul H Doshi, President, CREDAI Chennai said:
"It is a privilege to take on the responsibility of leading CREDAI
Chennai. Chennai is poised for significant growth, and our priority will be to
work closely with all stakeholders to create a transparent, progressive, and
future-ready real estate ecosystem.”
Outlining his vision for the
new tenure, Mr. Mehul H Doshi said that the roadmap for 2026–2028 will
be guided by the theme, “Let’s Build a Better Chennai,” with focus on
the four pillars - Government, Developers, Society, and Customers. He stated
that meaningful progress can be achieved only when all four pillars work
together in alignment. He added that every initiative will be driven by a
shared commitment to build a better Chennai that is progressive, inclusive,
sustainable, and future-ready.
Speaking on the occasion, Thiru.
S Krishnan IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology,
Government of India said: “Chennai stands at a pivotal moment where real
estate can power the next phase of growth. From enabling the rapid expansion of
Global Capability Centres to creating high-quality, environmentally compliant
office spaces, developers have a crucial role to play in shaping a future-ready
city. At the same time, we must go deeper into the housing market beyond the
top end to unlock real demand through rental and truly affordable housing that
serves the common citizen. With progressive reforms, expanding metro
connectivity, and a clear push for transparency, Chennai could lead by example
in inclusive, sustainable urban development.”
“This year, CREDAI National
is placing a strong emphasis on reforestation as a collective responsibility of
our sector. I urge CREDAI Chennai and Tamil Nadu to partner with the Tamil Nadu
government in identifying land parcels and driving meaningful reforestation
initiatives, especially along the Western Ghats region. Through our new
initiative, we encourage every developer to plant 30 trees for every home
sold—empowering homebuyers with ownership, certification, and the ability to
monitor their green contribution. This must go beyond symbolic planting to
sustained environmental stewardship.” said Mr. M A Mehaboob, Vice President,
CREDAI National
Mr.
S Sridharan, EC Member, CREDAI National; Mr. Suresh
Krishn, Joint Secretary, CREDAI National; and Mr. W S Habib, President,
CREDAI Tamil Nadu, extended a warm welcome to the newly inducted team
and conveyed their best wishes during the Investiture Ceremony.
