NEW OFFICE BEARERS ELECTED FOR CII – SOUTHERN
REGION
FOR THE YEAR 2026-27
Mr Ravichandran Purushothaman,
has been elected as Chairman of CII Southern Region for the year 2026-27.
Mr Ravi is the President of Danfoss India, a subsidiary of the
€10 billion Danish family-owned company. With over 30 years of experience, he
has been a key driver of Danfoss India’s growth, sustainability, and
innovation. Under his leadership, the company has expanded to 4,000 employees,
four Global Competence Centres, and six factories.
Mr Ravi specializes in
Strategy and business transformation, energy efficiency, electrification and industrial
decarbonization. He actively promotes advanced technologies, startup
innovation, university engagement, and policy advocacy in sustainability. His
efforts have significantly contributed to the adoption of energy-efficient
solutions in India.
Beyond business, Mr Ravi served as
Deputy Chairman of CII Southern Region for the year 2025-26
and is the Chairman of the CII National Water mission as well as Chairman of
the CII Task force on Cold Chain and Logistics. He also plays a crucial role in
industry-led R&D collaborations with universities. Mr Ravi is an investor
and mentor in Angel Networks, supporting early-stage startups and serves on
multiple boards as an Independent Director.
Mr Krishna Bodanapu, Executive Vice Chairman & Managing
Director, Cyient Ltd, is elected as Deputy Chairman of CII Southern Region
for the year 2026-27. Under his leadership, Cyient has achieved significant
and sustained progress, delivering strong performance and consistent growth. He
played a key role in leading Cyient DLM through its successful IPO in 2023,
establishing it as a publicly listed company. Cyient DLM specializes in
Electronic Manufacturing Services and is recognized as a strong player in
high-mix, low-volume manufacturing.
Most
recently, under his leadership as EVC & MD, Cyient launched Cyient
Semiconductors, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cyient, demonstrating the
company’s strengthened commitment to innovation and excellence in the global
semiconductor industry. He
is well-known for his outstanding leadership in advancing technology in
engineering and manufacturing practices.
An
alumnus of the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Mr Krishna
served as Chairman, CII Telangana in 2020 – 21 and as Chairman, AI-Tech
Adoption, Digital Transformation & Industry 4.0 Taskforce of CII Southern
Region in 2025-26.
