01 July 2025: This Doctor’s Day, we
hail the role doctors play in our healthcare systems, our everyday lives and
our communities.
As a player in the
diagnostics space, we believe doctors form a critical part of the care
continuum. Doctors have diagnosed illnesses, cared for patients
and delivered many a miracle. They have fought on the frontlines during the
pandemic, a crisis of extraordinary proportions. They have made remarkable
sacrifices and shown immense courage and dedication at all times.
However, we cannot forget
that doctors also face stresses, anxieties and other challenges on the job.
Their struggles are often invisible. The theme for this
year’s Doctor’s Day ‘Caring for Caregivers’ is thus pertinent.
Doctors require as much care as patients do. Doctors must hence get regular
health check-ups, pay heed to their lifestyles and take measures to stay on the
course to good health. We must also extend the same degree of compassion and
care that they extend to us. We believe that a nurturing and supportive
ecosystem will help doctors thrive.
