Indian Mutual Fund AUM nears Rs.75 lakh crore: Monthly SIP inflows increased to Rs.27,269..!

According to the latest data published by AMFI, the
AUM of Indian mutual fund industry has reached Rs.74.79 lakh crore in June
2025.
AMFI attributed this growth to strong retail
participation and the steady rise in SIP inflows.
Overall, the industry has witnessed net inflows of
Rs.49,302 crore compared to net inflows of Rs.29,573 crore, a steep climb of
74.12% over the previous month.
Further, the gross monthly SIP inflows for June has
increased to Rs.27,269 crore in 2025 June compared to Rs.26,632 crore in May.
Here are the key highlights from the AMFI monthly
data.
Debt
mutual funds..!
- The debt MF schemes have witnessed net outflows of Rs.1,711 crore compared to net outflows of Rs.15,908 crore in May, 2025.
- Liquid and overnight funds have witnessed the highest net outflows of Rs.25,196 crore and Rs.8,154 crore, respectively.
- Medium duration fund, medium
to long duration fund, long duration fund, credit risk fund, gilt fund and
gilt fund with 10-year constant duration have also witnessed net outflows
- Short duration fund and
money market funds are the funds with highest net inflows in June. These
funds have registered net inflows of Rs. 10,277 crore and Rs.9,484 crore,
respectively
- The Floater fund category has witnessed positive net inflows of Rs.231 crore compared to net outflows of Rs.254 crore in May
- At the end of first quarter
of this financial year, the AUM under debt schemes stands at Rs.18.58 lakh
crore

Equity mutual
fund schemes
- Net inflows in equity
schemes have gone up by 24% to reach Rs.23,587 crore in 2025 June compared
to Rs.19,013 crore in May
- Flexi cap, small cap and mid
cap funds have witnessed the highest net inflows in June. These fund
categories have seen net inflows of Rs.5,733 crore, Rs.4,024 and Rs.3,754
crore, respectively
- Interestingly, net inflows
in sectoral/thematic funds have witnessed a sharp decline of 77% to reach
Rs.476 crore against Rs.2052 crore the previous month
- ELSS fund is the only
category to witness outflows of Rs.556 crore among all equity scheme categories
- Pure equity AUM has reached
Rs.32.69 lakh crore in June

fund Schemes
- Hybrid funds have witnessed
the highest ever net inflows in June 2025
- This category has received
net inflows of Rs.23,429 crore compared to Rs.20,942 crore in May, a 11.8%
increase
- Although arbitrage funds
have witnessed a negligible decline in net inflows, it has remained the
largest scheme category among hybrid schemes
- Arbitrage fund, multi asset
allocation fund and dynamic asset allocation fund have witnessed net
inflows of Rs.15,585 crore, Rs.3,210 crore and Rs.1,886 crore,
respectively

- Passives schemes have
witnessed net inflows of Rs.3,997 crore in June compared to net inflows of
Rs.5,526 crore in May.
- The decline was due to
significant reduction of 80% in ETF inflows. The category has seen net
inflows of Rs.844 crore compared to Rs.4,087 crore the previous month.
- Gold ETFs have recorded the
highest net inflows Rs.2081 crore among passives.
- Index funds have witnessed
net inflows of Rs.1,043 crore

- The number of contributing SIP account increased to 8.64 accounts compared in June 2025 to 8.56 crore accounts in May
There is
confidence amongst retail investors which is reflecting through the incremental
flows, this is very healthy and positive for the industry and Indian markets.
