Termed as the ‘Mother of all Tamil Summits’, preparations have been in process since July 2020 to get Tamil entrepreneurs and professionals from 70 + countries to London during May 05-07, 2022 to participate in what is officially christened as “The Rise Emerge -Global Summit of Tamil Entrepreneurs and Professionals. Dr.B.Chandramohan IAS, Principal Secretary to Govt of Tamilnadu for Tourism, Culture and religious endowments has graciously accepted our invite to be the chief guest of the event and Mrs.Archana, MD San Academy Group of Schools will light the kuthuvillakku.

Participation from such vast number of countries covering all the populated continents is something unprecedented in the history and memory of Tamil as a people. In the words of Dr.Tan Sri Palan, Pro-chancellor of Cyber Jaya University-Malaysia and one of the key Advisors to the Summit , “ The Rise Emerge London Summit will change the way the world looks at Tamils, and certainly change the way the Tamils would look at the world ”.
World Tamil Organisation(WTO-UK) and The Rise Global, two lead organisations who are pivoting the Summit in partnership with several other entities have underscored ‘collaboration’ and ‘shared prosperity ’ as keywords not just for this Summit but for all future dreams and endeavors. The organisers have also deeply reflected on a five dimensional value proposition for the Summit: Value for every individual delegate, to every organisation and enterprise that associates, to the Tamil community as a global collective, to Tamil Nadu particularly in strengthening the current investment and job generation momentum, and to the wider humanity.
According to Rev.Jegath Gaspar Raj, Co-Chair of the organising committee, efforts are on
in full swing to bring more than 100 IT practitioner's from around the world
who will deliberate and lay a clear road map for Tamils to take early advantage
of the rapidly unfolding ‘digital
transformation era’. These practitioners will be aligned as the second layer IT
leadership for Tamils who will guide on data era education, technology
adaptation, and job generation.
Similarly the Summit will also endeavor to understand
from experts the changing contours of global power politics and its
consequences on global supply chains. Further
the organisers have also invited
experts to guide the Tamils in joining
the semiconductor mission announced by the Union Govt. of India.
‘Tamil Nadu First’ will be yet another campaign by the Summit encouraging the Global Tamil Diaspora to invest widely in Tamil Nadu leveraging on the current investor-friendly political environment in Tamil Nadu.
Concrete plans are on to launch a Global Tamil Fund during the Summit to support and strengthen the Start-up ecosystem in Tamil Nadu. Interestingly The Rise Emerge London Summit will also seek creative and alternative meanings to the recent discourses on ‘trillion dollar economy for TN’. The summit will reflect on such a magical dream to be massively transformative by being inclusive, distributed, bottom-up, innovation driven and embedded to the global environmental priorities, and requirements of social justice.

Global commons The Rise Emerge London Summit will take stock of the Climate
Crisis, inform the delegates and
stakeholders about the planet positive businesses, technologies, environmental
projects, and the availability of funding
for such businesses, projects, and technologies.
One important initiative is to establish a Global Tamil Researchers Network. Research disclosures in the Tamil milieu have largely been focussed around language. The London Summit makes a critical attempt to pay attention to the enormous body of research done by Tamils globally in the domains of engineering, Pharma, physics, IT, environmental technologies, etc.
