When we read the newspaper or listen to TV channel, yesterday seems to be one of the big falls in the market. 

When we look at Sensex or Nifty is concerned. When we invest in a mutual fund, we are not investing on these index directly, please do remember so our returns are much superior.

Look at yesterday's fall, even mid and small cap indices also match the similar fall in percentage of Sensex & Nifty, yet the mutual fund NAV falls much lesser than in Small and Midcap than the large cap funds.

As long as our client investment as well as our personal investment is long term in nature, it is better to consider mid and small cap fund rather than large cap funds, though mid and small cap space is little more volatile than large cap (as long as the tenure is concerned).
