Mr. K. Syama Raju, re-elected President of SIHRA

The 64^th Annual General Meeting of South India Hotels and Restaurants Association (SIHRA) held recently at Chennai. Mr. K. Syama Raju, MD, Hotel Maurya, was re-elected as the President and Mr. T. Nataraajan, CEO, GRT Hotels and Resorts was re-elected Hony. Secretary for the year 2015 – 16. 

The method of E-Voting was followed for the first time to select the office bearers of SIHRA. Speaking after the election, Mr. Syama Raju said that inspite of world recession in Business tourism, the Luxury segment and group tourism in India picked up well.

Mr. Raju also informed that SIHRA office will shortly move to new premises with more facilities and this year’s FHRAI Golden jubilee convention will be hosted by HRAEI (Hotel & Restaurant Association of Easter India) at Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
