Vote for Your Health ...Indus HealthPlus

Voting is our right and it is our duty to vote and choose the right candidate for betterment of our society. As you vote wisely in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls, practice an equally important right of choosing preventive healthcare to secure good health too. In India, healthcare sector is gradually moving from curative to preventive. With rising awareness levels both in the urban and rural areas and increasing disposable incomes, the coming decade is expected to witness increased demand for preventive healthcare.

As it is rightly said,“You have no right to complain, if you don’t practice your right to vote”, similarly you have no right to whine about your ill health, if you don’t go for regular and timely health checkups and take good care of yourself.

In the prevailing times, complete wellbeing has taken a back seat and we often take our bodies for granted. irratic working hours, unhealthy dietary habits and work pressure brings a lot of stress in life, which increases the risk of lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, heart ailmets and the associated risk factors such as hypertension, high cholesterol blood pressure, obesity etc. It is important for each one of us to take out time from our busy schedules to take care of their health, follow a healthy lifestyle& go for regular health checkups.

WHO report says that the lifestyle diseases can be reduced to half through preventive measures and regular health check- ups. If an abnormality is detected then a person can avail treatment at early stage which will save life and time. The cost of investing in preventive healthcare is also one third of cost involved for treatment measures.

Mr. AmolNaikawadi, Joint Managing Director, Indus HealthPlus says, “Indus drives the cause of prevention and is creating a successful framework for the government to effectively tackle the burden of non-communicable diseases, and in turn help in reducing the future burden on India’s already weak health infrastructure. We hope that the Government that gets chosen by the voters is able to devote significant importance and outlay to healthcare issues of this country which is a huge economic burden today.”

He further adds, “After casting your vote for the right candidate, make another wise choice and go for a preventive heath checkup. Save yourself from any unannounced & unpleasant health surprises.”
