Dalmia
Cement (Bharat) Ltd is organising the Dalmia Best House Contest for the third
consecutive year in Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry.
The
contest is being held across 4 zones and will cover each district of Tamil Nadu
and Pondicherry.
These
awards will reward participants for adopting and implementing best practices in
house construction and aims at honouring the key people involved in building
independent houses - owners, engineers, builders & architects.

DALMIA BEST HOUSE
This contest was conceptualized by Dalmia Cement and implemented in partnership with the popular Tamil channel Star Vijay TV, a part of the Star boutique.
Dalmia Best House Contest Brought To You By Vijay TV which was very well in its inaugural run in 2010-11.
The contest was aimed at identifying the Best House in Tamil Nadu.
Eligiblity
Owners of independent houses in TN and Pondy constructed or renovated in the last fifteen years (for the contest held in 2011-12 it is on or after 01.01.1997).
Associate Sponsors
Associate Sponsors for 2010-11 were Asian Paints (Brand: Apex Ultima), Bank of Baroda, NITCO Tiles, Sharon Plywood, Surya Dev Steel Bars, etc.
Prizes Galore
The winner of the first prize in Tamil Nadu received a Ford Figo.
The second and third prize winners got gift coupons for Rs.1 lakh and Rs.75,000 respectively.
The district-level first prize winners received a 8 gm gold coin each.
Engineers / architects / or builders of winning entries who were nominated by the owners of houses in the entry form were also honoured.
