The CMDA (Chennai
Metropolitan Development Authority) is to allow housing projects on the 10 acre
plot at Guindy Industrial Estate.
Owned by Hindustan
Teleprinters Ltd, the plot has not attracted buyers over 5 years because it is
classified as industrial land.
Now, CMDA says it
will make an exception.
