A number of banks & housing finance companies are offering limited period concessions to seek housing loans by way of reduction in lending rates, partly waiving processing fees & other incentives to encourage housing loan borrowers.
For instance CBI (Central Bank of India) has cut interest rates by 0.25-50% till March 31, 2012. SBI (State Bank of India) offers at 10.75%. Citibank & Deutsche Bank offer at 10.50% for a loan up to Rs. 25 lakh.
HDFC's offer of housing loans at 10.5% to 11.0% will be applicable till March 31.
